About CfD

The public has a right to know

For more than 80 years, information about UFOs, now called unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP), has been kept from the public. Citizens for Disclosure (CfD) is a volunteer network of people from all walks of life working to change that through education, organizing, and lawful advocacy.

CfD is the grassroots arm of the New Paradigm Institute (NPI), a project of the Romero Institute, a nonprofit public interest law and policy center with more than 50 years of history. NPI leads the legal, policy, and research work. CfD carries it into communities and into the offices of elected officials.

Why it matters

Disclosure needs citizens

Transparency rarely arrives on its own. Congress has held public hearings on UAP and debated legislation to release government records, but lasting change depends on steady, organized public demand. CfD turns individual curiosity into respectful, persistent pressure for openness.

We advocate for disclosure that is truthful, complete, and responsible, honoring both national security and the public's right to know. The scientific and cultural implications are profound, and we believe humanity deserves to face them together.

EducateGrounded in NPI's research on whistleblower testimony, historical records, and science.
OrganizeLocal and state chapters, town halls, and a community that wants the truth as much as you do.
AdvocateLawful, nonpartisan pressure on lawmakers, backed by NPI's legal and policy team.

FAQ

Questions about Citizens for Disclosure

What is Citizens for Disclosure (CfD)?

Citizens for Disclosure is a grassroots initiative of the New Paradigm Institute (NPI), a project of the Romero Institute. Our mission is to mobilize people across the globe to demand full and responsible disclosure of UAP and UFO information that has been withheld from the public for decades.

How is CfD connected to the New Paradigm Institute?

CfD is part of the New Paradigm Institute's broader campaign for transparency, accountability, and preparation for a post-contact future. NPI provides the legal, policy, and educational leadership. CfD is the volunteer, community-driven network that carries this work forward at the citizen level.

What does "full and responsible disclosure" mean?

Responsible disclosure means releasing UAP and UFO information in a way that is truthful, complete, and respectful of both national security and the public's right to know. We work against partial truths and selective leaks that confuse the issue, and we advocate for transparency that unites rather than divides.

How can I get involved with UAP and UFO disclosure?

Join the Citizens for Disclosure network through the New Paradigm Institute. From there you can contact your members of Congress, write letters to the editor, host or attend a town hall, phone bank, deliver petitions, or start a local CfD chapter. Every action, from a single call to sharing accurate information, strengthens the call for disclosure.

Does it cost anything to join?

No. Joining Citizens for Disclosure is free and no donation is required. Supporters who want to help fund the work can make a tax-deductible contribution to the New Paradigm Institute.

Do I need experience to volunteer?

No. Our volunteers come from all walks of life. Whether you are new to the conversation or ready to lead, there is a role for you, and you can take on as much or as little as fits your schedule.

Is Citizens for Disclosure partisan?

No. UAP disclosure has supporters across the political spectrum, and Citizens for Disclosure welcomes everyone who believes the public has a right to know.

What role does Citizens for Disclosure play in advancing UAP transparency policy?

Citizens for Disclosure mobilizes grassroots energy behind NPI's transparency and disclosure policy work. By amplifying citizen voices, CfD makes sure public demand is heard while the New Paradigm Institute pursues real disclosure through legal action and congressional advocacy.

How does CfD support the New Paradigm Institute's research?

We connect people with NPI's research on whistleblower testimony, historical archives, and scientific investigation. By sharing these materials, CfD brings the evidence to wider audiences and keeps advocacy grounded in fact.

Why is public participation important for government transparency?

Lasting transparency depends on sustained public demand. Through actions like NPI's Congressional Disclosure campaign, everyday citizens ask lawmakers to act. CfD organizes volunteers and amplifies calls to action so that public will becomes policy change.

Where can I find updates on disclosure lawsuits, hearings, and advocacy?

The NPI Learning Library covers disclosure news, hearings, legislation, and advocacy campaigns, and the NPI newsletter brings the latest developments to your inbox.
